I am surrounded by small children roughly 9 hours a day, sometimes 12, and the grasping, grabbing, needing, wanting thing is basically all they know. I read this and laughed out loud at the teething toddler adhered to my body, then set her down to pour some coffee
Hope the toddler didn’t actively teethe on *you*! I can certainly imagine there are few people in the universe who would understand the heart of this poem better than you can!

I have certainly felt like the ‘second’ drawing often … especially in the jobs I’ve had. But it made me smile anyway! Wonderful offering as always!
